Yvette cooper today announced that HIPS were to extend to 1 and 2 bed properties from 14th Dec. In addition to this ‘first day marketing’ will be extended until June of 2008 to give the HIPs scheme time to bed in.

HIPs are now required for all homes with 3 bedrooms or more before marketing the property. Failure to do so could result in a fine of up to £200 per day!
